Cimorelli Immigration Manifests Online, part of the PIE (Pursuing Our Italian Names Together In E-mail) which I commented about in September. I felt that this part of PIE required a special review as it provides a wealth of information for the family historian and genealogist.
The information at Cimorelli Immigration Manifests Online include databases from the Morton Allan Directory, M1066 Microfilm series, the National Archives, newspaper articles, Internet sources, and personal contributions by the author of the website. The site layout refers to different time periods of immigration and the ships are listed to the corresponding years. Cimorelli Immigration Manifests also provide searching for particular immigrant groups such as Irish and German Immigrants from Russia. Please note that this site is extremely busy, does not have enough bandwidth and at times can result in you not being able to access the databases. I would suggest to search this database when there might be less traffic such as early in the morning or late at night.
If you are interested in seeing what is available to research, click Cimorelli Ship Menu to be directed to the beginning page of this site. Have fun!
